As I said in my previous post. You have to ask a mod for account deletion. Ask one of these - /admins

It's a button that does completely nothing. You're still doing as instructed..there's no button for this one. You just have post/message an admin. get yourself some coffee and wait til it gets deleted. trust me it's been a couple days now. this profile is going to stay for a while. :)

How can I delete my account?
We recently introduced a feature so you can delete it yourself. It's on your profile, between your gallery and your guestbook. (currently not available)
Please send a message to a frontend-admin and request deletion.

WARNING! Once your account is deleted it can not be restored!
German laws on data-protection prohibit us from keeping your data after you have been deleted, hence there is no backup once your account is deleted.

Scroll down to the very bottom for the admin list. The admin currently responsible for account deletion is djlongy: /cb-profile/userprofile/djlongy
You can write him directly without a connection request, as all mods.
We usually delete once every 48 hours.
No need to go all caps btw. :huh:

I am closing this topic. There have been like a hundred of these topics and each of them end with either a link to the FAQ or a text stating exactly what is written in the FAQ.
Why are people unable to use either the forum’s search-function or simply read the FAQ?

Before one of the mods jumps down my throat... I have read the Delete Account thread -

But the topic has been locked. Otherwise I would of asked this question there.
Anyway, reading through the thread I notice that there used to be a function that allowed you to delete your own account.

Further reading of the thread shows mods getting upset at people asking about account deletion.

So I was wondering why is this option no longer available?
Wouldn't it mean less work for the mods?

It doesn’t wortk, that’s all. Don’t read to much into it. If you are interested in the technical details, go to the Joomla-website and check the discussions in the support forum there. To now, there is no explanation why it does not work any more, but believe me, there are hundreds of anoyed webmasters complaining there.
