i heard about people who knew each other since childhood, but in the end, the relationship didn't last...
i heard about people who met, in one year they got married and now they're still living happily...
i heard about people who met on chat, had a long distance relationship for 3 years and now, they're getting married...
i heard about people who were madly in love for one year and a half then suddenly something happened, and now they don't even say "hello" to each other...

so, from my point of view, anything can happen, any relationship could work, as long as they both want and try their best to make it work...

There are alot of guys out there that still look for a relationship and would commit but not to someone they meet here. This is still where people wish for a chance and never get it. I would love to be married someday but not now. Romantic feelings doesn't happen online. It's when you see each other and fall inlove.

People act differently online and IRL. Quite simply, people don't care enough to put forth the effort online. If you met that person face-to-face the result might be wholly different compared to the results that you might get on here. That's just a general level of apathy of the interwebz (GLAoI).

Something I've noticed is that girls get burnt out by seeing all of these uncouth guys (which turns them off to the group as a whole). Guys get frustrated with the lack of response and/or actual effort to converse and likewise fall to effects of bitterness and despair. Instead of going for maximum # of options or chances, maybe it would be more beneficial if we all sought out better quality individuals and dedicated more time to them. If anything, you'll have better e-"friends".
