A badge.

You'll get a badge on your profile visible to everyone that says you have verified your identity.

BTW: Just in case you are interested in that but want to delete your account again and come back later: You have to verify yourself again for your new account.

Wouldn't it be better to make it look different so as to avoid any sort of confusion ? Simply inverting colors could do.
