I don't care if this topic has been there before, I'll anwer it.

I have no exclusive preference for Asian guys.

I am attracted to the general look, because I don't have a clue about K-Pop and that stuff.

Also I don't study "Asian studies" as some people assume, when they see me hang out with Asian friends. I became interested in Asian culture, when I happened to know a lot of Asians through University. Now I have a lot of Asian friends, but I'm not attracted to any of them, because I'm not automatically attracted to a guy because he's asian...

Thats nice of you but that stereotype is pretty rare imo, maybe some of the older generation and academic people have that view, but the way they explain it is that the "cream of the crop" south asians are the ones who immigrate to the west and that is why they have such high success. For younger generations this stereotype translates into being seen as nerds, like most asians are seen.. :pinch:

What I like when I see a man is the eyes and a nice muscular long back.Use to be obsessed with green eyes. Dated a green eyed French guy for 6 years. When my family and I moved to the south of the country, our new neighbors had a party for us and my neighbors from the Philippines (my age) said he though I was cute (and all that good stuff) but I was seeing that French guy.

We started talking more and more and I though his eyes were just gorgeous! So mysterious and dark. Sexy right! We didn't quite click like that and never dated.
But to me Asian eyes are just the most beautiful out there so that became my type of men. Everyone wants to be with someone sexy and it's up to them to define what's sexy !

Don't know about this feminine thing. Not sure what people mean with that (cloth, face, manners,...). All Asians I know here use to be in breakdance groups when we grew up so, pretty masculine (with lean muscle, my speed).

Short, I like the eyes (and the back is def a plus).

I listen to kpop but because I love that music! It's generally female kpop tho. Except Big Bang but that's because Teddy Park is a music mastermind!! There's a hip hop hood feel to his music and yes I love it. Doesn't mean I'm ghetto ( people like to assume that on these forums (don't know what that's supposed to mean either)).

So that's for me:) .The story is because I'm sick in bed and super bored ( '3')...

It's not going to be the same for everyone... Yes, some women may be influenced by Asian media like k/j-pop while others have no interest in it. And hopefully no one expects men to look like those guys because most black or white people don't look like black or white celebrities do either. :L

Some women may prefer Asian men because of physical traits they have compared to other men. I know a lot of white women don't find blonde hair or blue eyes attractive in white men as they see it as feminine, and that's something you won't (naturally) see in Asian men.

Some women may prefer Asian men because they've grown up around them, or have always been treated particularly nicely by them. It can be a psychological thing that way, as it can work the other way too; someone can stop trusting all of a certain type of person because one of those people abused them.

It's very difficult to explain why you've always had a preference for something, though.
Why don't you try answering why you prefer non-Asian women?

Torakichi wrote: WHY DO YOU FIND ASIAN MEN ATTRACTIVE?

I assume that a substantial percentage of females here, be it 40%, 50%, or even as high as 70% have either a purely aesthetic preference for Asian males generally (GENERAL LOOK) or a pop culture (X-Pop/Drama, etc.) based stylistic "IDEAL IMAGE" preference for them. Many men can be stereotyped as having an aesthetic preference in the ideal for say the rail thin, big breasted, super blonde Swedish Bikini Team types (Random example of IDEAL IMAGE)

This question is more directed towards stereotypes that are socio-economic or cultural. For example Americans are associated with individualism, or Germans are percieved as technocrats, French are romantic, or Indians are believed to be capable, ambitious, and brilliant people who excel at engineering/physics/hard sciences/mathematics (Some stereotypes held in America about these groups). Please elaborate on what you find appealing about the culture/character/general characteristics of Asian men.

If you simply like their aesthetics, differentiate between whether you like the pop cultural look (IDEAL IMAGE), or like the look of all Asians in general (GENERAL LOOK), or both.

I'll admit that the reason why my attention even went that way, is because of those old 80's movies with all the awesome and mysterious ninjas... however, the question is sort of ...I don't know. Stupid. It's like asking why some people prefer redheads or blondes and why certain people has a thing for freckles.
I don't know why I like asian guys. I just like their appearances... there's no proper answer.

My preference is 70% aesthetic, and 30% cultural. I have always liked lighter haired girls, and have had better experiences with them, most non asian women are fuller figured, and shapely, and most are more emotionally expressive, warm, and less likely to be inhibited.
