I'll admit that the reason why my attention even went that way, is because of those old 80's movies with all the awesome and mysterious ninjas... however, the question is sort of ...I don't know. Stupid. It's like asking why some people prefer redheads or blondes and why certain people has a thing for freckles.
I don't know why I like asian guys. I just like their appearances... there's no proper answer.
Xsanto,
There is pure curiosity here, but the hope is to afford Asian guys some insight as to why you all like us. Traditionally in the US Asian males have been at a disadvantage. Whites are the dominant race, and whether the perception is Latin lover or Black men being more masculinely built, positive stereotypes of those groups exist. I have yet to hear things like this regarding Asian males, although generalized beliefs regarding Asians are on the positive side, and Asians are becoming well accepted.
It would be nice from a purely physical view to learn what uniquely Asian features women like. Kpop, and all is disassociated from everyday reality, so insight into what Asian men already have that is desired would increase their confidence, and help them to be more expressive rather than shy around you guys.
Also, more personally I yearn to see a recognition that Asian elements of character, though different in expression are similar to the best traits in Western culture, or in some cases superior. I believe that aesthetics aside Asian men are highly accomplished, responsible, driven, and intelligent men. They have discipline, and perseverance in spades, and it is my observation that despite a softer persona they are built of steel, iron, and titanium within. Many American men are loud, boastful, space absorbing paperweights. Great in form, and presence, but once the dagger rips through the 1/16th inch polished aluminum skin, they are filled with soft butter. I hope to see evidence that women get this side of the Asian male, and not so much just the light in the loafers boi band fantasy look that comprises a negligible percentage of Asian reality.

Because the one's that I have dated have been pretty cool folks and they left a lasting impression. Asians as a race were not my ideal type for most of my young adult life but you can thank Eddy for changing my mind.

Reading my last answer, I realize it might have sound a bit offensive.... but it wasn't intended. I simply get that question A LOT - and especially from people who don't like asians. Even from asians themselves, who just apparently can't cope with the fact that others than asian girls like them. At first I was amazed people actually asked. Now it sort of pisses me off.... because it seems to be quite a common question. Like the whole world is oblivious to the fact that some people actually like asian people x)
You pretty much described why I don't like American people much. I've always seen America as a .... well...let's not go there...but it's just like you said, really. Because the white man is the " loud, boastful, space absorbing paperweights", and they're the dominant race, there's really no surprise that they come off bad, to the European people, who're different

But over here, people see asians as successful, owners of family businesses. Hard working. And kind. I've never seen an asian on a public transport. They all have cars. Which means, they have a decent economy. Most people I know don't look on asians as a minority or something bad. Cause over here we're pretty multicultural. Maybe Charuran has experienced something different, but I've never actually experienced any raceism from people around me. Asians are all 'hiyyyyaaaaa KUNG FU POWAH' with Rice!

Many of my friends are asian, but they're all adopted, raised by Norwegian people. I know in America this is not common, but in Europe, it's very very popular. I thought it was just Scandinavia in the beginning, but it seems pretty much spread out all over Europe.
I guess my point ended there. I don't like asians because they're rich or hard working. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I fell for their appearances. I have a thing for the more feminine look of the men. I'm not saying they look like girls. I mean, if I wanted a girl, I'd go for an asian girl. I'm glad you guys are men

I'd say it's the same for me. I find a lot of Asian people have very beautiful facial features, also women, I'm just not into women... And I often find Asian children very cute.
Then I guess it is something about the very opposite look, I'm blonde and relatively fair-skinned and I like black hair and a little bit more tanned skin.
And last, body type. I think I like the same built in western and asian men. There's a certain range I like, but just not too tall (because I'm rather short), and not too bulky/muscular. And I just see that more often on Asian men. On average they just get leaner muscles, when they work out.
I don't find anything feminin about normal Asian men (some overly styled K-Pop stars, who wear make-up are a different story, but I don't follow any of that).
