Are the most moving movies usually the most depressing to watch?

I mean, it's not particularly scary. D. Lynch just knows how to tap into the dark side of the human psyche. I guess that's what's so terrifying about that film.

Watts was awesome looking in that. Don't remember it in detail, but the hopefulness she had really got shattered by the end. I remember reading her thoughts about how the frusteations of an aspiring artist really jived with her own experience. It was so jarring in the end, maybe for her it was a nice, what if, and my life turned out so much better moment.

i don't know, but depressing movies are my favorite, i learn so much from them. they are filled with human emotion and experiences and life lessons. they are also great at inspiring and motivating and helping people. AND they are filled with art and poetry! they're very educational.

make this your mantra today: "look inside my soul and you can find gold and maybe get rich." // "in the cold Kentucky rayyayayaayn." - Elvis

They could also be very inspirational, it doesn't always have to be depressing, but overcoming that trough is always interesting to watch
