Hi :)

Last book I completed was book 3 in the Song of Ice and Fire series. I'm currently struggling through book 4 (it's terrible so far compared to the first 3) but will definitely complete it soon as season 3 of Game of Thrones is going to be aired soon.

I'm also currently getting through a book called "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" and "Dreaming the Soul Back Home". As you can probably tell by the titles, these are in the self-help/spiritual category. I read a bit of everything!

How about you?

Last one was "The Quiet American" by Graham Greene.
I love a lot of literature from the first half of the 20th century (well it's from 1955, but that's close enough).

At the moment I'm reading "The perks of being a wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky, nearly finished. I really enjoyed it. I have a thing for "coming of age" stories.

Excuse my ignorance but what is a "coming of age" story? Does that mean when a character goes through changes or when society is about to change?

I'd like to read some classics too. I have David Copperfield and A Tale of Two Cities waiting on my Kindle.

I think the only classic I've read is Bram Stoker's Dracula. Need to sort that out!

Malcom Gladwell's "Outliers: The Story of Success"

Key takeaways:

To become a world class success, think Yitzak Perlman, Bill Gates, Michael Phelps, you need 10,000 hours of dedicated practice. That transates into 10 years of 20 hours per week in terms of engagement.

All extremely successful people are not self made. They had help like access to rare terminal based computers or first rate coaching before any of their peers did. (This says that you can stack cards in your favor to an extent by aggressively seeking out resources you need for your ambitions. Just identify them.)

Demographics, culture, many factors influence the ability of people, and entire generations to succeed, often in unexpected ways. (Which once again means you can stack cards in your favor. Understanding your unique context, and that of others, one can constructively frame things, and use those circumstances proactively to move forward. You can also identify what you are ill suited to, and disadvantaged at. Play to your strengths.)
