The older I get, the more I begin to despise kpop fans.

I just need to vent and know that there are still sane people out there.

Let me be clear, I despise the fans, not the music genre. I personally still enjoy some kpop artists, but lately some of the fangirls have pushed my buttons a little too much. If we want to get into specifics, G-dragon's two newest singles. I didn't like the first one. God forbid! And shame on me for saying I didn't like it and how I dislike that it reminded me so much of western rap music (which I also hate- yeah Tyga, I'm lookin' at 'chu). How dare I leave a comment of a negative personal opinion- about ONE song. Instead of just reading my comment and letting it go, I had people personally attack me, said I wasn't a 'true fan', and then began to give me a history lesson on YG Entertainment as if I'm some ignorant newbie or hater. I replied twice trying to say that it was just my opinion, to which they completely ignored. I gave up and went on with life.

So today G-dragon releases another song. I actually like this one, left a comment on how I enjoyed this song more than the last, how it sounds more like kpop... chewed out AGAIN. WTH? I said I liked it! Has society really become so easily offended over the dumbest shhhhhhh? Uh, yeah, I want to get all the girls who commented on that video (because quite honestly, we know about 97% of them are girls) and smack them in the faces.

So while I understood why so many men hateeee kpop, now I understand on a whole 'nother level. It's quite sad. I don't recall it being this bad a couple years ago. Has anyone else experienced these ridiculous fangirl attacks? I want to say that Eat Your Kimchi couple received some harsh comments a few times before too, some even because they "refused" to review certain artists' music videos. And if you are one of these girls and you're reading this, please, for goodness sake, wake up and calm down.

Once again, sorry, I just needed to get that out of my system somehow and had I posted it on my personal tumblr I would have gotten chewed out again.

I am a Kpop fan but I am a decent human being first. It's crazy seeing how nuts girls go to defend their 'oppars' from what? A discerning opinion? I think it's completely insane and it's nice to find someone who has a similar opinion.
I've gotten similar things, even in real life, for not liking a specific member, song, album, hairstyle, whatever. And how I wasn't a true fan. Um. No.
I'm honestly starting to wane in my Kpop fandom because a lot of the fans are ruining it for everyone else :/ They give the music and the good the artist do a really bad name.

And why do you care what random people has to say about you? If their comments are bothering you, you care too much about your image.

heh I guess because they are "offended" that u are denouncing their "ideal" prince/boyfriend material image. Hmm but I reckon even if those male idols gave those girls a chance, most of them would be like replacement trash used and recycled. That's why any idol must have a huge number of clueless female/male fan database who probably can't distinguish the difference of admiring an idol or boyfriend idol stuff. Benefits idol the most. :P

Well.. As much as I am a fan of BB and GD.. I never liked all of his songs.. last year when he came out with OOAK.. I didn't like the song.. and I clearly admitted it.. then he had another MV for Crayon.. nope, that song was not my cup of tea either.. and that doesn't make me a bad fan or whatever, it doesn't suit my taste. And I bought his album anyway because he has my support. Still a year later those 2 songs are not for me.. I can listen to them without skipping now but I'd never get an super excited moment if they come on. Same with his previous album.. There are some that I love and some that I couldn't care less about..

So the new songs, new MV's.. COUPE D'ETAT.. nope.. this song does nothing for me. I highly appreciate and like the MV, I thought it was really artistic, loved the colors and stuff but the song? I've only heard it that one time.. and if I don't like song from the first time I know it will never be my favorite.. and I agree with you, I like this other song better.. and yet again I know I will buy the album because I like to support him doesn't mean I blindly bow down to anything he creates, any hairstyle he has or any outfit he wears.. I'm not a hater. But I have my own mind, if I think that's too much, I don't like it.. but I keep my opinion to myself and only talk with my best friends about it.. because I know how much hate you can get for not loving everything..

if he had a world tour including Europe, I'd go to the concert but sadly he didn't.. Even if I don't love everything about him, I support him and I hope to see many more great songs..
GD is a great artist and I love him for what he does..

I was a big Kpop-fan ^^ I really loved the music and stuff
but then...I met those fangirls and I saw that I really wasn't that big fan of Kpop haha

from the beginning that I liked Kpop I wasn't like: Oppa is mine!! don't touch him I'll marry him!! blah
and stuff
I don't like those fangirls they are annoying..
and I am glad that I wasn't like them lol

why should I cry about an Idol when I will never meet them or beeing together with them
that makes no sense

btw just ignore those fangirls they don't know what are they talking if someone saying a negative comment
(and I know alot of fangirls they are spamming my wall on facebook and THATS rly annoying)
I think fangirls are like...they live in a bubble xD

It's not so much what they think of me, because obviously my comments are somewhat anonymous, it's more that they are so batshit cray that they can't listen to a normal person have a normal opinion on their "bias." People like or dislike stuff all the time and no one cares but oh no, if it's their fav kpop member then prepare to be ridiculed.

Evucis, I agree with your post completely, especially the blindly bow down to anything part.
