And please no embarrassment, it took me a while to figure out how to post on these forums. I'm still not entirely sure how to do some of the formatting.

(Side note: there are some amazing artists on here, right??! Jeeze. And the digital art.. ugh!! I don't know how people have the patience for that!)

I used to really be into nail art way back in the day.

So I absolutely love art forms like maki-e, and I wanted to try to do something similar with some mtg cards (because of course I did).

Here is one I did (obviously does not compare to the original!) based on a design from a Sailor pen series that came out (OMG THEY ARE SO GORGEOUS JUST SAYING!!)

Anyway, the original is the first photos and the second photo is the card. I used acrylic paint, 23.5 k gold powder, 24 k gold leaf, and titanium leaf. This took a long time, in part because I had to make a lot of the smaller fragments of gold by brushing gold leaf until it broke apart (same with the titanium), and I had to make the square sequins myself by doing that for an extended period of time until they clumped together thick enough that they would, well, be sequins, and I cut them to size before placing them.

I drew this one back in 2019, but totally fucked it up, but i decided to try to finish it as best as i could, today 😒
