Non-Asian women: K-pop (What, Why)

As an old-timer that has been listening to K-pop since 1995, I can say that it has drastically changed to cater to a wider audience. Not all K-Pop is alike. Most opinions I hear about the genre judges it solely on the most played out artists.

I only like bigbang. Mainly for their voices and their songs are easy to dance to. I've listened to other kpop groups but haven't really been able to get into them. I don't know why I like certain things and not others. At least I am able to keep an open mind and listen to songs in other languages

That's like asking me why I like music. If it has a good beat and makes me happy why not listen to it? Kpop or not.
