I did Muay Thai(Thai Kickboxing) for 2 years. From what i understand Muay Thai is the best stand up martial arts, only thing that could take a Muay Thai fighter down is grappling.

i started training a mixture of striking arts... wing chun, boxing, TKD, Muay Thai, kung fu etc... in 1996. this wasn't an official class, but the instructor fought a couple of times in the 70s/80s. he retired when his sternum was broken from a kick.

trained with a Sambo-ist in 2008.. this is when i learned how to grapple a bit. enrolled in BJJ the same year.

i still practice all of the above, but i want to learn close quarter combat with a firearm and knife.
