Interstellar. There has never been a film that has made me contemplate life in a long time.

I think it was kind of strange that they went to the most time-consuming planet first, anyway. Being a total non-scientist, I would've picked Mann's or Edmund's planet and seen if either of those could sustain life before I risked 7 years/hour.

I'm actually really surprised, but not disappointed, that the movie never tackled religious issues, especially given the ending.

^ That explanation makes me think. I've only seen a few of the Batman movies and Inception from Nolan, but if there really is an overarching theme of deception, then it makes perfect sense. It also makes me sad. But I was thinking, about thirty minutes into the movie, "Yep,

To be honest, I would've taken any plot holes or contrivances to get Cooper back to his family, because I cared more about them being together than a tight plot. Scenes like Cooper driving away from his house right before he left for the mission and doing that not-gonna-cry-totally-about-to-cry teary eyed thing made me understand why Matthew's my mom's favorite actor.

Title of this topic is a mistake in itself lol. "There has never been a film that has made me contemplate life in a long time." So do you mean there's never been a film that has made you feel this way or ...hell i don't even get what you're saying. One side you're saying never and the other side "a long time"... uhh i don't know how that works.

Haha I was waiting for someone to notice that.

The funny thing is people look at this movie so logically that they forget the most essential premise. It is a man who just wants to get home to his children. And the sacrifice is made to save...the "world".

Don't get me wrong, the science in this movie was portrayed masterfully - a movie of such caliber will always have plot holes. But what captured me the most is that this film isn't just a Sci-Fi film: It is a complete film. When you have children of your own, one day you will understand how much "love" transcends every rule of logic that exists in this universe.

We all exist within the laws of Physics, but we are motivated to do things for love, because of love, or lack of it.

They went to that planet first because previous expedition team's craft was crashed on that planet. they have to check if there any survivors left or not and get black box back in order to send them back to earth. That is one of their mission

There are two driving forces to human existence. Love and fear. Fear is in the mind. In the end, you are only truly left with love. For all things. And when people realize this, they would have leveled up their consciousness to a new level.

The law of physics breaks down once inside a black hole.

Didn't do much for me other than some of the pretty lights and sounds.

Matthew Mcconaughey sounds like he's talking with peanut butter stuck to the roof of his mouth.

I really like the movie and its soundtrack by Hans Zimmer :)
Now thinking about buying Blu-ray.
ワームホールとブラックホールと大波と最後の5次元空間のシーンが好きだな。
