Interstellar. There has never been a film that has made me contemplate life in a long time.

It was a great film, especially if you know a bit about astrophysics and makes you think, oh hey, this could actually be possible!

It's been a long time since I have to turn on English subtitles for an English film, Matthew McConaughey made me wish his character had throat cancer so he would need to talk through a voice box!

I didn't like it but that's just me. Not something I'd want to see again. Disappointing. I know a lot of people compare it to 2001: A Space Odyssey, but there really is no comparison. 2001 was a masterpiece, Interstellar just seemed to me like a poorly contrived and sloppily executed flick.

Films are usually a pretty big treat for me; I really enjoyed the movie, came out of the cinemas pretty satisfied! The finger licks into science and metaphysical ideas were entertaining, got me motivated to do a bit of stargazing and similarly to funkayy, momentarily left me in a warm fuzzy world of reflection. What I really liked was how it took a stab into the human condition and how it's reflected in our relationship with technology. TARS is my favourite character! It's a nice change from how technology is generally depicted.

It's almost unfair that Cooper gets to survive entering a black hole and coming out another side in the distant future without having aged a bit, isn't it? Which is kinda like the opposite of 2001: A Space Odyssey's story, if you think about it. Or maybe another take, I don't know. That's just my interpretation. Also, it's a little thing but why didn't Michael Caine appear to age at all throughout the film? Why didn't they send robots to explore the three planets next to Gargantua instead of actual people and risking human lives? Just stuff like that didn't make much sense to me as I was watching the movie. Can we actually get that close to a black hole? I read in a Hawking book once that a Black Hole would tear anyone close to into "strands of spaghetti" or something. Then again, Theoretical Physics is full of wild unproven hogwash.

One of the best movies I've ever seen, with a great soundtrack.
I love everything about it.
