Also, for those of you who are nervous about bringing up grievances about the Japanese devils on a WFAM forum you should think about why you are so nervous to voice the truth when you are suppose to be living in a democracy?

Do you think it is a bit ironic to be preaching about empathy and compassion while inciting hatred all in the same post? What is your opinion on this behavior?

Not all of Japan was for the war. Not all Germans were Nazis. There is a good and bad side to all nations. Just like how China isn't exactly perfect either. Never mind modern day issues like fighting over the South China Sea, fighting over Tibetan lands and killing people making pilgrimages, and evicting people out of their own homes just to build the previous Olympics.

On a different note about the bomb; just watched the first part of the documentary Twisting the Dragon's Tail that talks about the science and history of how the bomb came about:

Also, I remember reading about the guy who survived both atomic bombs in Japan:

Hahah Hitler had a German Shpherd named Blondi and he LOVED his dog. Well many documentaries did suggested that he was kind and friendly with healthy life-style personally, compare to Winston Churchill who was a crazy whisky drinker and had pretty bad temper at times.

Anyway, my morale logic of the entire Japanese doings in WW II is simple. We have always been forgiving otherwise Asia wouldnt have moved forward so well, and that China also forfeited War-compensation from Japan just after WW II as a demonstration of good deeds and generousity.

But the whole issue we are talking about is, Japanese government are very much lack of sincerety in recognising their damages to the victim countries, and that they had right wing movement trying to hail the Japanese empire history once in a while, also most Japanese did not have full acknowledgement of their history as compare to Germans. After all, how would u expect people to forgive you if you do not regret and sincerely apologize to ur victims?

Hi there, this is Kento. I've hijacked my girlfriend's account (lol) to post this message.

Thanks to all who watched my video, and I do not mind the comments even though it kind of went off track. I understand where everyone is coming from.

I want to say something though, whether it matters or not, I don't know.

I'm HALF JAPANESE and HALF CHINESE. My mother is Japanese and father is Chinese. If you watched my video, you know my Japanese grandpa's story.

Now on the other side, my Chinese grandma lived in China at the time (WW2), and she came from a semi-wealthy family. One particular night, Japanese soldiers came into town, and they did some bad stuff to everyone. They broke into my grandma's house, took everything they had (money, jewellery, expensive paintings, & much more), and injured and killed some of her family members.

My grandma's family went from wealthy to dirt poor in one night. The house was also damaged beyond repair.

The next decade my grandma and her family basically lived in horrid conditions (just about homeless), and they couldn't afford food. Quite often they would catch rats and eat them. All thanks to the Japanese.

Anyway, fast forward many years, and my grandma with her new husband managed to make an arduous trip to Hong Kong in hopes of a better life. Their financial situation was still bad. Anyway, in Hong Kong, they managed to rebuild their lives. Sure, still dirt poor compared to the rest of us, but all things considered, it was a step up. They then had their first child, a boy. This was my dad.

When my dad grew up, he ironically met a Japanese woman who he fell in love with. This was my mom. And when my dad introduced her to my grandma the first time, she was very nervous because she knew of the history between the two countries.

When my grandma saw my mum the first time, she hugged her without hesitation and welcomed her. My mom was worried since she knew what Japanese soldiers did to her family; but this didn't phase my grandma. She knew my mother had nothing to do with that, and treated her like her own daughter. To this day, she has never shown the slightest resentment to her just because she's Japanese.

When my mom and dad got married, my Chinese grandma came face to face with my Japanese grandpa (from the video) for the first time.

They embraced. They didn't look at it like 'oh she's Chinese' or 'oh he's Japanese'. They just knew that sort of blanket bitterness and prejudice - while perhaps understandable - was simply irrational and silly.

---

Anyway, I guess I'm pretty impressed with my grandma's attitude. I know how much hate can exist between Japanese people and Chinese people. I've witnessed it a lot first hand; but then I look at my mom, dad and grandparents; and think it's pretty cool~

Although one funny note is they completely disagree about the Senkaku Islands / Diaoyu Islands situation, which makes for some rather interesting dinner table banter...but that's a story for another time lol :D
