what is your favorite Anime and/or Manga?

Make sure you read the berserk manga! The old berserk anime only depicted the golden age and it took out a lot of scenes. The movies had amazing cgi but they took out even more. There's a new berserk airing now, I love it, but there are mixed feelings since few people like the art style.

The Gantz anime is pretty accurate to the manga, but the story ends far earlier than the manga does (kind of like the original Berserk) and it has some filler before the final arc.

Yeah there is a ton of Macross shows/movies. I'd recommend Macross Frontier as a good starting point, and going back to watch the other if you enjoy it. However there's also a pair of Frontier movies that retell the story with some notable changes; I actually prefer the ending in those.

I've started watching the new Berserk anime as well that's why I'm not sure if I should start the manga yet. I've heard people say they're not sure if the author will ever finish the manga either.

Thx for the advice, I have to check them out once I flush through my huge plan to watch list.

I'm not sure how many episodes the new Berserk will have, but the manga is around 200-250 episodes ahead, and I believe that it updates monthly? I hope the manga finishes, I wouldn't want a 6 year hiatus like the manga NANA or a never-ending manga like One Piece
