Akame Ga Kill ^.^
The manga is still ongoing, make sure you check that out. There is also an Akame ga Kill Zero, which is a prequel manga. I am kind of disappointed with the anime ending, they decided to go the filler ending, so there is no chance for a sequel.

I have a similar taste to anime as you, except I also immensely enjoy comedy anime. I still need to watch Welcome to the NHK and Serial Experiments Lain, I watched one episode of each and got sidetracked... haha...
Be sure to also check out Ping Pong the animation or the Monogatari series since you enjoyed Tatsmi Galaxy.
Since you do have a taste for psychological or for more serious deep types of anime, I like to recommend series such as: Boku dake ga Inai Machi, Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica, Higurashi, Higashi no Eden, Death Note, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Ergo Proxy, Zankyou no Terror, and Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha.

i think not many people liked dressrosa. but i thought it was one of the best mainly because of doflamingo.

People who enjoyed pre timeskip one piece more, are usually people who did not like Dressrosa since the pacing was all over the place. It had a lot of Doflamingo, but it didn't give him many proud moments. I felt that in the Summit War Saga, Doflamingo had his most badass moments, but he didn't appear very often.
