I couldn't finish watching Eureka Seven, I dropped it at episode 3. I didn't enjoy Rolling Girls. I haven't watched the Law of Ueki. The rest were all good ones, especially Ping Pong the Animation - make sure you watch Tatsumi Galaxy, similar art and format.
Since you enjoyed TTGL and Kill la Kill, check out FLCL, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt and Dead Leaves.
Baccano -> Durarara
Code Geass -> Death Note

Ah too bad, Eureka Seven is probably my favorite love story of all time. I was drawn into the world so much. I was surprised I enjoyed Rolling Girls as much as I did; maybe it's just a case of me watching it at a right point in my life. Law of Ueki is probably objectively not "good", but it's what pulled me back into the anime world. The songs, the characters, and the quirks are all ingrained in me. Do you mean Tatami Galaxy?joestarbill wrote:

I've already watched Durarara and Death Note haha. I can see the progression but I feel like Baccano and Code Geass are better when compared.

I just didn't like Eureka Seven's MC, reminded me a lot of Haru from Accel World, useless and annoying. My favorite romance anime has to be Lovely Complex, short guy gets a tall girl. Yes, Tatami Galaxy, I just always spell it Tatsumi since I just finished watching Nana.
Durarara > Baccano, but Code Geass > Death Note. Death Note would have been more enjoyable if a "certain character" didn't die. I didn't like Code Geass because Lelouch could have just told everyone to do whatever he says, unless of giving them specific commands. O well, it would have ruined the anime though.

Oh man, I felt the same way about him in the beginning as well. I didn't think he was like Haru, though. I'll fix my statement, it's my favorite coming of age story AND love story haha. I don't really have a fav romance anime, but the last one I enjoyed was Ore Monogatari.joestarbill wrote:

Don't get me wrong, I love Durarara a whole lot. But in terms of writing polish, Baccano is just goals for me. I think the death was fine; I feel like the problem is with the people who replaced him. Not sure what you mean about Code Geass. It wasn't like he was trying to enslave the entire world, so it wouldn't make sense to take away their free will completely.

Since I haven't finished eureka seven I cannot conclude that he's haru, but from the first 3 episodes that I have watched - very similar. Ore monogatarI was enjoyable at first, but near the end a simple cell phone call would have cleared all the misunderstandings.
What made me enjoy durarara more were the characters. Baccano had a better finale, but durarara had better pieces.
Ya I didn't make it very clear but after his death there wasn't anything that could replace him. Thus making the series not as high paced and engaging.
No, but since his ability could only be used once. If he told everyone to folow his words, he would be able to control all the characters for the entirety of the series.
