This song is very special to me, and every time I hear it tears will start falling no matter the situation or context I'm on at that moment. The lyrics are very special to me because it reflects my deepest emotions after I lost my grandmother and grandfather, both were more than that to me, they raised me, and they understood me more than anyone in this world, there were no secrets... This time of the year, this town, this house holds still their presence. So this is a thank you song in a way, and a hard goodbye. I truly hope someday I can just make them proud.

Gnarls Barkley's cover of Radiohead's Reckoner continues to blow me away with each listen. The original song is already perfect to my ears but something about his performance is so much more powerful and emotional. Adds some soul to a song you'd least expect it to sound good in.


Typhoon from Young the Giant basically sums up how I felt freshmen year of college. To me, the song captures the feeling being literally being caught in a storm. The unexpected enormity of the shit that comes and the lack of preparation as tides sweep you off your feet
