ahh.
i'm just saying they are not happy with the situation/crimes being committed so they're expressing their frustration or anger. maybe even being upset that these servicemen aren't being watched and kept away from civilians by their commanding officers due to it being an ongoing issue. idk if confining them is even possible (because i don't know anything about the military). i imagine it is because of the severity of the crimes.

in this case.. politics and interests trumps the justice that is deserved.

The Japanese PM will be or appeared to be "angry"; and the US counterpart will say something along the lines that they will start some form of internal investigation (basically this will lead no where - hoping that enough time will pass until people will forget about the incident).

Some US military guys will "promise" not to repeat it again; but it is bound to happen again.. so it is an empty promise. I don't even think the Japanese will get a formal apology for this.. the whole system of going back and forth is going nowhere...
