Curious about ze males

But Ive been curious as to why some guys seem to ignore facts such as 'they aren't able to get the girl/ they are too old/ they aren't the right race' etc

eg:

guy: hi
me: hey whatsup
guy: I like you
me: sorry..im not interested
guy: i need to see you
me: um no sorry im not interested
guy: why not? Im a great guy
me: I have a bf
guy: so? i am better anyway

or another example: I joined another dating site (out of boredom) and put in the details in my description clearly that 'I only date asian guys" and also edited my preference to asian guys only etc etc....after this I had many white guys sending me unwanted pms or saying stuff like...'hey I like you'...I became so annoyed that I deleted my account.

Im curious to know why guys even go there with some girls when they know that they dont fit the criteria or the girl isn't interested in them...do they believe persistence is the key? are some girls the same? am I the same?

Criteria applies more online as opposed to in real life. Online yes, when you know you don't fit someone's criteria you should just move on. But in person, attitude and persistence often changes a person's set criteria. Case in point, every non-Asian girl I've ever dated except for the first one, was never interested in Asians in any way whatsoever. My point is, in real life, just because you know someone isn't interested in someone like you doesn't necessarily mean you should just give up without even trying. As for the internet, yeah people have nothing to lose.

It doesn't necessarily, but it's more economical not to try in the first place.
