Funny the differences in Western and Eastern cultures.

In the West, if you are pale it's seen as unhealthy. As if you don't get enough vitamin D or you're a vampire or something (lol). People use products to get that "nice healthy glow." Skin tanning products sell more than skin whitening products. In fact, I don't think I've found whitening product in US stores. Though we also see too much sun as a sign that you tan and are not worried about the possibility of skin cancer.

But in the East, the paler the skin the better.

NO, I don't! I reckon it's because in our culture we normally think the fairer skin the prettier the girl is...
