Hey-Ai members as manga

i'm using photoshop cs6 and intous 4 ,,, took about 15-20 mins i wasn't timing , it's just practice .
i use the natural pencil tool , so it's more like me sketching with real pencil and paper, fast stuff like this i don't use too many steps , try to keep it as simple as possible.

techniques,, it depends on the software , each has it's way around things and each work differently so i can not tell u unless i know which software.

gimp is not the best sotware to draw with , may i suggest ,, mypaint

thadeusz - so pretty much what are u using ? mouse or tablet or lcd screen tablet ?

mypaint is fairly simple to use, use it for a little bit and then if u still need help , let me know i can walk down some simple stuff with you,

4 know how to use layers,
this was in photoshop but all the layer systems works the same way.
the hierarchy of the layers will help you ,which layer goes on top of which, which one to show and which one to blend in.

I tried using my tablet for coloring and I guess it's ok,
Also, thanks to toniking for some of the useful links. Please share more tips or links on coloring and drawing a manga character.
