What I found beautiful and breathtaking is the Red Rock Canyons. It is such sight to be a part of it. To feel the coolness and the silence of it all. It's very peaceful and beautiful. :cheer:

Looking over the videos of my niece and I playing and learning sign language. Her smile lights up my world and is a beautiful thing that makes me smile no matter what.

i may have said this already but over a year ago, i saw a guy design kitchen plates with really tiny shoe prints carved into them. he said he got it from a movie where a woman was walking in the snow toward the home of the person she loved, if i remember correctly. so, the white plate represented snow.

Natural reserves, heritage and historical sites..

I'm here temporarily, but I'm not from here. While higher your frequency, higher will be your conscience.

I recently finished When Breath Becomes Air by the late Paul Kalanithi, and (unsuccessfully) held back tears all the while. It is the memoirs of a Stanford Neurosurgeon/Scientist who reached the pinnacle of his profession and calling only to discover that he has terminal lung cancer. He walks us through the hills and valleys of his life, and his internal struggle with death, morality, and purpose. His story is moving, and his writing, elegant and masterful. Highly recommend.

An excerpt: "My life had been building potential, potential that would now go unrealized....The lung cancer diagnosis was confirmed. My carefully planned and hard-won future no longer existed. Death, so familiar to me in my work, was now paying a personal visit. Here we were, finally face-to-face, and yet nothing about it seemed recognizable. Standing at the crossroads where I should have been able to see and follow the footprints of countless patients I had treated over the years, I saw instead only a blank, a harsh, vacant, gleaming white desert, as if a sandstorm had erased all trace of familiarity."

Interesting sidenote, Bill Gates is also a fan of the book .

My stretch marks.

When I was 10 my parents split and I ended up going with my father because my mother never wanted me. She said I would've been better off if I was aborted. Dealing with the emotional pain of not having a mom in my life, switching to a different school, and being bullied wasn't the best combinations. Therefore, I ended up turning to eating and keeping myself locked away from the world. I gained so much weight by the time I reached high school and the bullying got even worse to the point where I needed to lose the weight fast before I graduated because I couldn't imagine what to expect from the world if they saw me the way I was. So I developed bulimia. It was definitely the worst 3 years of my life but I'm happy I found the control to be able to stop. Seeing the stretch marks made me embarrassed and I still wasn't happy with my body. But recently I realized that they are more than just stretch marks. They're my battle scars and my tiger stripes. Definitely the most beautiful feature that I have and I wear them proudly to this day.
