do you guys here believe that everything or almost everything that happens to you throughout your life is meant to prepare you for what you were meant or "called" to do? they were discussing this on tv, saying those things weren't meant to harm or break you. they put it this way: nothing happens to you, it happens for you. so, even if you had, for example, an absentee or hateful parent or [insert whatever changed your life], it wasn't just to strengthen you, it's setting you up for your reason for being here.

for example, "why do people always show their amoral side to me unprovoked?" to make you so angry that you do something about it. "why are people more proud to act like freaks than to have some stability or feel shame for acting a certain way?"

it's about paying attention (not begging for my attention). it's the reason why Denzel Washington became The Equalizer. his character pretty much said, "instead of spending my life crying, i'm going to use this nail gun [on the enemy's neck]" because he became what his purpose was.
