Sometimes the conversation isn't going anywhere. I occasionally message someone but they end up not being actively engaged or willing to converse. It's hard to hold a one-sided conversation sometimes, but that's just my experience. I'm sure there are other reasons too.

So how is that some girls find guys they marry and live happily ever after? Where can I find those guys? Because all men I meet usually just cut off and I lose my hope... Or maybe there's something wrong with me? ^^'

Well I guess its not you its about the guys problem ^^
I also have such experiences, you just should learn not to think too much about it ^^ Internet is a place where the most people are because of their boredom and not because they are serious searching for new friends/love/what ever ^^
Well I also know many people who are holding the contact but youve to search long until you find them ! Keep your head up, dont loose hope !

Usually, in the beginning..I don't like to text/online chat/skype too much unless it's for setting up to meet. I want to meet the person and do things together. After some time though when you are in long term, then texting becomes the norm throughout our busy lives.

So why do people even start talking if they know there's no chance for anything more?

because they are bored, wanna talk..

In reality, if you don't really know the person..why would you want to text for a long time? Isn't the point to meet up and get together, whether it's for food, drinks etc.. For me, I just text a few times and then ask her out. If the girl keeps flaking, then obviously most guys would just assume you're not interested.

Practical experiment ?

If it makes you feel any better, I frequently feel this way about women as well, I don't think it's anything specific to you, this is a problem that members of all genders experience. I can't answer your question because I experience the same, but I can definitely tell you there's nothing wrong with you for feeling that way.
