Is it just me, or are Vietnamese guys the least sought after out of all the asian cultures?

I don't think so
A family member of my patient today is Vietnamese and I was drooling
He was soo handsome and gentlemanly
I was at work though so yah I was perfectly professional

My point is- no this post isn't true
One of my exes was Vietnamese
One of the most sultry men I've met- and effortless

I can't say a whole lot, but I was involved with a Vietnamese guy briefly. Obviously, he's one person, and in no way represents all Vietnamese people... that said, he was one of the most rude, condescending, cold people I have met. He was a know-it-all, extremely bossy and controlling, and impossible to please. You text him, you're annoying to him. You leave him alone, you're "not showing interest", you ask to hang out, you're clingy, you avoid him, you're being cold. He was impossible and nobody really got along with him.

However, his family was extremely sweet, and I'm still in touch with his sister, who is one of the warmest and kindest people I've met.

So personally, I'm not at all opposed to it, despite the one pretty shitty guy, and I don't think most people are completely uninterested in Vietnamese guys.. But for me, him and his family are the only Vietnamese people I ever really met.

i definitely agree that its the case. i noticed all the years that obviously chinese, south korean, japanese etc. are prefered for whatever reason. vietnamese people in general are very underrated. but i dont think its because vietnamese guys are supposed to be rude. there are also chinese, south korean, japanese guys who have a negative attitude.

so at the end of the day everybody has a different taste right? i also have vietnamese roots and im not butthurt if somebody avoid me or say to my face that im not her type because im vietnamese.

Not really. It's most likely the area you live in. I used to live in Westminster, CA, predominantly Vietnamese, and they were getting the girls. So I stood no chance. When I lived in North Carolina for awhile, the white women, no disrespect to the other women, gave me more attention and were more touchy friendly with me, because I was "exotic" to them, so I kinda shy'd away from them because I never had that much attention.

Don't like saying it, but there are plenty of fishes in the sea. Just try moving in another area.

It's you; I've never heard of any particular prejudice against Viets in particular, but I do accept that Korean and Japanese are trendy simply because of the sheer scale and Western consumption of their cultural production output. The result is that the world image that their film and music industries project is on par with Western standards - their cultural image circulation is better: plenty of pretty boy bands and male actors etc. to fawn over. Note that Japan and Korea are very rich, fully democratised and Westernised countries compared to China and Vietnam, so they have a very hip and technically advanced music/film industries and they project a better image. The only other difference I can think of is maybe Koreans, Japs and Chinese are fairer-skinned than some native Viets? But be careful when you say Viets. Many Viets are actually not native Viets but are racially Chinese because China colonised and ruled over it for 1000 years.

I had dates with guys from different races, but I think I prefer Vietnamese guys. Not on purpose, but I just noticed that I'm more drawn to them in general (of course that doesn't mean I'm attracted to every Vietnamese guy). My two exes were Vietnamese in fact.
And I think I am actually the least attracted to Japanese and probably Korean. Maybe because how they are presented in the media is rather girlish.
I'm sure it also has something to do with facial features, but I cannot name what exactly it is.

Still, I'm open to every race.
