All that talk about catfish in the other forum makes me hungry for catfish. There was this one "family" restaurant that had steam catfish in soy sauce and green onions, I think that was it. So good. Retired for 10 years now I think. It's not easy buying catfish from a regular store. Need the whole thing from an Asian market.

I think this is another fish though (flatfish?). All the Chinese places I know do not do catfish anymore. Usually tilapia or flatfish, I think. I grew up on catfish.

Lol, now I'm getting hungry just reading that. TT Chinese restaurants here in Australia tend to have live fish tanks with delicious reef fish like coral trout and red emperors. They serve the whole fish with the head and tail intact because I guess culturally it's supposed to be positive. Not that I'm complaining haha

Catfish is def tasty. But in my opinion, nothin beats the Red emperor fish. If you haven't tried it, you have not lived bro.

Tho technically I read that there was one fish that is both arguably very cute-looking but very poisonous, yet is also arguably the most delicious fish in the world. Not that I would know since I never tasted it. But would love to see Booster try that recipe. ^^

Not sure we have that type of fish here in California. We do have this Red Rockfish. I've had it with similar cooking style before. Not sure if it tastes the same as that fish.
