ER tech here, were doing all we can as far as safety and PPE, and staying away from fam. I’m just happy I still have a FT job with OT available and a team to work with. Can anybody from more affected areas tell me what I should expect??

I read about how one guy who was doing social distancing, was later craving for a bag of chips so he sent out his little dog to go out and buy and bring him Cheetos. He pinned a handwritten note and 20 dollars on his chihuahua and if you can believe it, the little dog delivered and came back with a bag of chips and change. :)

So expect more people pushing hard working dogs to go collecting items at the supermarkets. ^^

Man who stand on hill with mouth open will wait long time for roast duck to drop in.

can everybody fill out petitions so healthcare workers could receive proper/personal protective equipment (PPE) to care for patients without putting themselves at risk.

another sad reality is that if healthcare professionals cannot protect themselves, they are basically walking petridishes and will spread covid-19 to other patients and/or each other.

if you're admitted to a hospital, with something simple like cellulitis and need antibiotics IV or if your grandmother broke her hip because she fell and needs surgery... good luck on leaving without covid. -hospital acquired infection(s)- (in respect to patients) are the MAIN reason why us health care professionals need PPE. we don't want to give you sh*t you didn't come in with. we are protecting YOU from all the stuff we come into contact with.

You have a point. We try our best and in my facility we are lucky to still have PPE available (one per patient per day) they are doing their best by screening all employees at the door before work, even so it’s not easy. I got sent home 3 hours into my shift cause I had a cough- I left my team one person down but it’s not the time to take risks. I come home to my fam and if I get sick guess who does too??? We moved my granny out of the house for now and I try to not touch things cause it’s not safe. We try our best to be safe and clean but there’s other facilities that don’t have PPE or the staff takes their N95 home to put in the oven (sterilization) and use again the next day cause some person bought them all.

For people who are on the front line giving their best through their essential skills and services, whether they are medical, managed / food provider or citizen security services. Please! Apply preventive measures, the assigned distance, avoid touching or scratching your face and of course a lot of hand washing with soap.

I'm here temporarily, but I'm not from here. While higher your frequency, higher will be your conscience.
