Who is more accurate? the amwf couple in hotel quarantine or the media?

Who do you think is more truthful? The media or the amwf couple since clearly both can't be correct as they contradict each other.

Noticed a youtube vid made by an amwf couple who are being quarantined in an aussie Hotel for a few days. And they were laughing and mocking an australian news media for trying to make their quarantine stories be more sensational and that the journalist was deliberately twisting what was actually happening.

Obviously covid-19 is no laughing small matter but have to admit, their vid below did make me chuckle a bit. I also agreed with the politician despite she was framed in the report as being a b*tch. But it also dissapoints me as I don't see why the media should feel the need to negatively frame and distort events and cherrypicking critics to make it seem like they are reporting on evil crimes against humanity when it's nothing like that. I mean like why??

DO ambitious reporters nowadays feel they can only be successful in their career, if they do what it takes to get a lot of views. And why they will sensationalise and exagerate the events whenever they can get away with it. That'll be unethically agended. How is that ethical to present news in a way that is distorted from reality, just so they can get alot of views and get paid more? :sick:

Yeah, no sex should be the biggest complaint of everyone under quarantine in the stupid "corona hotels".

the only thing i believe is that there is a disease out there that can potentially kill people. there is no cure or vaccine. the only way you will be 99.9% safe is to stay the fu*k home. wash/wipe down/ disinfect/ etc... everything you buy because we don't know how long this thing is viable for on inanimate objects.

all else is exaggerated politicized jargon. i watch both CNN and Fox News and i want to throw up, sometimes. sad reality, you and i will never know truths at that level. i am a registered nurse. all i know is what is in front of me.

Lol this is a well known program in Australia that is totally ridiculous and sensationalizes everything. So yes.

ratings first. especially for a channel like nine. they air a lot of shit including the infamous married at first sight. even i foolheartedly succumb to watching it from time to time sigh.

on a slightly different note. i remember watching a segment on aca where they were chasing some criminal of some sort. the reporter was holding a stack of papers, lamenting on the evidence against the reported individual. a close look of the papers when the reporter was fanning them showed blanks lol.

Greensheep lol you watch "married at first sight'. I've never watched it but from the promos, it seems like it's the epitome of drama and conflict. Lots of tears, tantrums, cat fights, men pulling their hair out. I can see why people would love to watch that.

Yeh I figured. Channel nine isn't non profit. They are a commerical business that often competes with rivals like channel 7, etc so they are financially motivated to do what it takes to beat the competition for more advertising.

In australia, we get this tv news show where they hire comedians to be its anchormen called "the Project" who tries to find funny contents, and there are tabloid media like daily mail uk that talk about ridiculous catty topics for the point of gossiping. But "current affair" compared to them, is actually known as one of the more serious and proper professional media types. They weren't trying to be funny or appear insincere.

But they understand that certain news sells better and a business model that injects drama and conflict would help increase views. It's a cheap corporate tactic that distorts news and has been going on for decades.

No doubt that the corona virus is an aggressive son of a bitch who goes straight for the lungs and infect rapidly... BUT, the media is blowing it up more than it needs to be. The normal everyday flu has killed way more people, than the corona virus have done So far. And nobody takes the flu serious, because we've had it for ages, and it is slightly less aggressive.

Sure, Norway has been Lucky with only 150 deaths So far. A normal flu would kill at least 2000 of us. If u look at the statistics per country, corona really isnt as bad as the media blows it up to be. We keep hearing about everyone that dies, but never about those people who were infected and LIVED.

Despite all this, i am not bothered by the lockdown as much as many others. Maybe in the future, when i Actually do have the flu, my boss Will say 'stay at home until u get better', rather than 'you dont get the Day off unless u break your arms'.
