So i heard the saying

"which came first the chicken or the egg. No one will know"

But if chickens did not exist before the egg, then the egg most of come first as a mutation or something. So the egg came first :) GO SCIENCE

"Eggs" of other species existed long before chicken.

If we're talking about "chicken egg" vs "chicken", chicken came first. If "chicken" is defined by a set of features, then whatever that was closest to a chicken, before chickens ever existed, would have given birth to some eggs that are their eggs but not "chicken eggs". Then out of those eggs, due to mutation, one or some of them would have mutated with full features that match what we would call "chicken". Then that/those animal/s would then give birth to the first "chicken eggs".
