Which do you prefer....piercings or tattoos..?

I have one tattoo, only one( I don't want other) but I find it so attractive in guy, of course not too much tattoos.

I think they can be hit or miss depending on the tattoo artist you use. I've seen some truly awful and tacky ones from people I know. Sure get them done with 'meaning' and such, but a ugly tattoo will still look ugly.

Although to be honest, I feel a hot person will look good with or without tattoos. but they can make a not so attractive person look even less attractive

I believe tattoos can be a great form of self expression and art. People get tattoos for many reasons: to honor someone or some idea, to remember something, to express religion or lifestyle, or even just for fun. Some people just enjoy putting art on their body. I would say, if it's meaningful, then what's wrong with tats? Take the Japanese Yakuza for example; Worn proudly as symbols of status and dedication, Yakuza tattoos have evolved into magnificent, multicolored full-body masterpieces.

I prefer a open minded personality & those are just bonuses

If my parents had tattoos I wouldn't take them seriously. That's how biased I am.

I think the word you're looking for is "trashy" for some people. Tattoos have come a long way, they're far from new as they've been around for thousands of years. Ancient peoples like the tribes of the South Pacific islands use tattoos in tribal rituals and stuff like that. Gangs members use tattoos as secret (and not so secret) symbols. Now, tattoos are becoming more artistic and intricate due to famous tattoo artists like Kat von D and people like her. Now, you can get a realistic portrait of Justin Bieber on your ass if you want. Mainstream tattoos these days, people use them just to look rebellious and "nonconformist". They may or may not have any meaning at all.
