Why is nudity forbidden?

Serious question, so would appreciate serious answers or opinions. Same goes for profanity.

Like, are there children on the site that need to be protected? We have a PG-13 board so why not a Grown-up or NSFW board?

(I mean it wouldn't be such a problem if everyone wasn't hitting me up for nudes all the time... Just kidding.)

The better question is why nudity

The western countries are heirs of the majority religions. For example in my country, Spain, Catholicism is still very present in everyday life.
From the beginning, in the bible, they say that the woman was to blame for all of us being born in sin. Eve was the one who deceived Adam and gave him to eat the forbidden fruit. His body is a source of sin .... In the Gospels the role of the woman was relegated to that of mother, wife or sinner. And what to say about the first woman of Adam, Lilith only has a couple of lines throughout the Bible ....
So the naked body of a woman, the sexual enjoyment of a woman, the free thought of a woman, her freedom is always associated with sin.

I just say that "Sin is in the eye of the beholder".

(I don't know if this has a lot to do with your question ... but this was what it made me think: P)

I came across a handful of hey ai users who were still under 13, and there are quite a few accounts who list their age as 0 or 1.

I believe there are some NSFW threads in the PG 13 board

Like, we can post violent gifs or make provocative political or cultural comments, but we should shy away from nudity? And I'm not suggesting hardcore pornography, but even a bare butt or a topless woman, like the Venus de Milo?

It's sad how the institutes of religion have perverted our innate capacity for communion and our natural tendency to exalt what is good and universal, in order to exert control over people's restless energies.

It's especially shameful how religious dogma has historically been used to subjugate and marginalize women, when any fool can see that men and women were meant to be complementary partners.

My theory as to the reason female nudity is especially linked to sin is because the female form instinctively triggers the male hunter instinct, distracting him from his mission, rendering him irrational, belligerent and intractable. It can be an extremely disruptive force in society, stirring up all the would-be Alpha males. Remember Helen of Troy?

Which is why it's so great to live in liberal democracies with (ostensible) separation between church and state, and (relative) individual freedom of expression.

It's fair for platform gatekeepers to ask members to abide by their rules. I would just like to know why a progressive site that encourages cross-cultural communication and frankly subversive inter-racial romance would bow to such antiquated notions of morality...
