Interesting.
I make no judgments about people's individual feelings towards nudity, but under a separate and distinctly labeled sub-forum or limited to an individual member's home page, do you think it should be allowed?

We also can't protect those who post nudes. It only takes one sick person flying under the radar to skew and take advantage of someone's photos and someone's life becomes negatively impacted. It's enough we get cases when members report to mods that their photos posted in profile are used elsewhere in different platforms we have no control over and vice versa by principle of the catfish. The juice isn't worth the squeeze.
Don't get me wrong, I've got no issue with nudity but there's a level of common sense that needs to prevail without getting caught up in the semantics.

Thank you for your reply and to all the moderators for their tireless work.
I hope it won't seem that I am being stubborn or argumentative, but I just have a couple follow up questions based on your reply, asked in good faith...
1. If minors cannot be verified, why have a PG-13 board at all? Verification on any site must be problematic at best so doesn't it come down to a question of legal liability? This could easily be addressed as I mentioned by creating an Adult board or using NSFW tags.
(1a. The prohibition on public nudity is different from the control of content on the internet for the very reason that I expressed earlier: this is a private site, subject to its own rules. I was just asking why those rules include a ban on nudity when it seems to cater to adults and open discourse.)
2. You've discussed the issue of misuse of personal nudes, and I agree that such risky behavior certainly carries a high potential for abuse, regardless of prohibition and should be highly cautioned. However, this certainly does occur on the forum and in fact has even led to cases of blackmail and abuse, yet exchange of nudes is not forbidden. Selfie posters beware!!
Why then the prohibition against non-personal, non-pornographic nudity?
Like, could I post a YouTube video of Milo Moire's performance-art protest against sexual discrimination and objectification by allowing strangers to fondle her breasts in a discussion of art?
Could I post a picture from a movie with nudity on my Hey-Ai blog as a personal expression of my tastes and aesthetics?
I think the premise is flawed. People and children do not need to be protected from nudity (or profanity for that matter). They need to be protected from the threat of abuse, perversion and exploitation.
"No personal, exploitive, or pornographic nudity allowed. Any nudity should be clearly labeled and occur within a clearly discernible context, and not simply to arouse, provoke or harass."
Wouldn't such a disclaimer solve the problem?
Again, thank you for your attention in this admittedly minor concern. I'm happy with whatever decisions the admins and mods make, but I am looking for some oversight and some transparency.
Best regards,
Lonewolf/David

But when it comes to minors, while I personally agree that profanity and nudity aren’t shameful things to guard against, it’s always been my mindset that it’s as much of a societal decision as it is the individuals raising the children, and my say doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.
There are quite a lot of parents up in arms against any possible exploitation, and with the recent Olympic doctor case, among others, people are more suspicious and concerned. It’s really unfortunate.
Plus “minor” varies in age by culture and federal laws, so I guess it’d be harder to guard against all proving they are the appropriate age. The idea of “nudity” also seems to vary. I’m not sure a disclaimer would legally suffice for all the countries hey-ai has involved through its membership base.
Obviously, I’m not a mod, so this is purely my conjecture.
