It's been a few days since I reported these profiles for using fake photos. Yet the photos are still up.

May I suggest that if the validity of a profile photo is in question then the moderators remove it?

I know it is possible to do, as Karyuu removed the photo from this profile when she used the picture of a model - www.hey-ai.com/cb-pr...rofile/Sukiyaki

I wonder why users always assume that moderators and administrators are these omnipotent, always-online beings...? Have you ever considered that moderators/administrators are just humans who are sacrifying their free time without being payed for it? How can you expect them to be online 24/7 and see what ever it is you want from them within no-time? Also, you might want to consider, not everything is as obvious or clear to other persons as it is to you; no, some may even consider a demand for discussion amongst the moderators and administrators.

I'm so glad that you take the safety of the members of this site so seriously. Oh wait you obviously don't. As you have time to write a condescending message, but still leave the fake profile pictures up. Surely you can remove the photos while you 'discuss' the matter between yourselves?

And for your information one of your moderators is chatting quite happily with one of the guys I reported. She can find time to do that... but not to remove his fake photo?

No, I can not. Those who can read are clearly in advantage: I am a backend-administrator. I do not care about your frontend-problems.

All I wanted to do is point out that the normal moderator/administrator of this site does the moderation/administration in their free time and does not get paid for that. Hence you should not expect a swift "service" as from a company which has a paid help-desk.

If a moderator is chatting and not working on the site, I only see a person spending their free time in a chat, not - as you might do - a paid jobholder who does private things rather than work during work-hours. Whether they properly separate their moderation-task from their personal relationships (as you said a moderator is chatting with a person you reported) is a entirely different aspect and I kindly ask you to respect this before you go around and judge people! - Maybe the mod in question is not assigned to the case of the member in question. Hence there might not be a conflict of interest... But, I do not have insight here as - as I have mentioned - I am a backend administrator, so I also do not wish to speculate.

If you are unhappy with the way a moderator or administrator is doing their job, you can always go forward and tell Karyuu about it.

This reply is what we call "Armutszeugnis" in Germany. You complain about others not reading your stuff and not paying the desired attention to your stuff, but you on your own side do not care to answer to all aspects and ignore parts for yourself. - And you honestly expect others to help you with that attitude?

It might not bother you. But it bothers me. I have a kid sister, and the idea of her being tricked into doing something by some pervert hiding behind a pretty profile pic. Makes my blood boil.

I requested account deletion, yet you still contact me.

I made a suggestion on this thread, which an admin took personally, and became defensive and rude.

My suggestions and coments were made purely because of my concern for minors on this site, who may be targeted by sexual preditors hiding behind photos that are not their own.

I was not going to log on to this site again. But I found two not very pleasant emails from the site creator in my inbox. And I do not wish to receive any more. I will not be signing in again.
