In that sense I think im being realistic by going for shorter girls. At the time, i was lucky to find somone that didnt care about height. But since it is so prevelant that height is an issue in the dating world and i think i kinda 'understand' the typical Australian woman short guys are generally not looked upon favourably. I know for sure that i shouldnt bother with 6 ft tall girls cause theyre automatically going to pull that excuse.

I mean just look at all those gossip mags making a big deal about the height difference between Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, theyre relentless about that shit.

Sucks too cause people have no control over their height.

I'm 170 cm and an ex was like a couple inches shorter... in the end I had a big problem with it even though it wasn't much :\
I don't think it helps when the guys are SKINNIER than you too. But I guess in the end I wasn't in love with him that's why I didn't look past it all.

I dated someone else who was like literally, 1cm shorter LOL.. he never said anything but i think he had a problem with it so we didn't work out o__o he wasn't asian, btw.

I prefer taller guys, but when I see guys that are good looking and about the same height as me, something about them is so cute and cheeky and attractive.. o__o

Isn't 170cm pretty average for girls in Western countries? I mean girls between let's say 18-30?

i dated a guy that was a few inches shorter than me but for some reason it was really obvious , i normally like tall guys but he was an exeption i just never wore any shoes with a heel. i didnt realy mind but he was quite hung up about it .

I'm about 168ish, just scraping into 5ft7.

I dated a guy who was two inches shorter than me, and somehow the difference seemed huge He had a complex about it so he would slump his shoulders too (?!?) and so in the end I do have to say it bothered me too. I started out fine with it, but his relentless complaining about it and self conciousness made it an issue.

When I imagine a hot guy, I always think a little taller, 5ft10+ and muscular. But then again, I have a real thing for skinny guys and I've been on dates with guys of all heights and sizes! It's really how they handle it. I love being with masculine guys, I find it really hot when guys can easily pick me up etc, but you don't have to be tall to do that

I also dated a guy who was 4 inches shorter than me, very noticably well, short lol, but he would make me cry with laughter, and I didn't actually used to notice the height at all... Probably partially cos I spent the whole time doubled over laughing like a dork lol! He moved abroad in the end, sighhh lol.

Having just discovered using a 50p BMI gadget at my gym that I'm only 5'8.5 , I'm now more open to the idea of 'stripper platforms for men' and buying bootcut jeans 6' longer than usual. Ladies love a tall masculine man!

I like 170cm(5'7) and above tall girls.

I'm 5'9'', the tallest girl I dated is 5'7'', and it was ok.
