There are women who are going to like you and others who won't, just like all other people in life.
Then again, it may be your personality and demeanor. Do you appear confident? How's your posture? Do you slouch down when you walk or do you walk with confidence? Do you stutter when talking to them? Do you shy away from them? Are you a pushover? Etc.

Also I think what whatsusername mentioned is very true. U.S has fought three Asian countries since WW1. They had imperial Japan, Viet cong and north Korea. Also the last two being backed by the Chinese. Not only did the U.S go to war with them, but the U.S lost one and had to ceasefire another. This itself creates animosity and racism, not to mention the war itself doing the same too. Mind you these are the parents and grandparents of the demographic Asians are trying to date so the challenge is sort of expected . It is no wonder Asians are not portrayed favorabley in U.S. Obviously I want to see the same progress but its not something that will happen overnight. It will honestly probably take a few generations ( at most hopefully). Just look at how long it took black community to get where they are now, and still there is VERY strong racism. Civil war ended in 1865 and civil rights didn't start till 1955!! That's 90 years down the road, and still to this day many people are racist. It's an uphill battle? Yes, uphill on a very very high mountain. Remember, this is the U.S you're talking about. A country steeped in racism since its birth. There are still a lot of stereotypical portrayal of Italian sand jews In the media and they're white!

if you don't like western culture so much, why are wanting to date a white girl...it doesn't even make sense to me.
Oh , I forgot , I'm not here to date white girls. I don't like white girls.

OK Uncle Chan. Shit on other Asians like your white master tells you too. Is that why your here? To get a white girl so it will elevate your status in society?

Please read the following, which is from Asian American masculinity: A review of the literature
The first large wave of Asian immigration to the United States occurred in the mid-1800s with the arrival of Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Korean, and Indian laborers (Espiritu, 1997; Takaki, 1990).In the late 1800s and early 1900s, Asian Indians were also being recruited to work in the United States on plantations, on railroads, in agricultural fields in California, and in lumber towns in Washington (Takaki, 1990).The competition for labor opportunities caused many Asian Indian men to be driven out of their communities in the U.S. by White workers who belonged to groups such as the Asiatic Exclusion League (Takaki). The White workers saw Asian Indian men as threats not only to their jobs but also to White women (Takaki). In addition, the 1917 Immigration Act prevented Asian Indian men with wives from bringing them to the United States (Takaki).
Over the years following the first wave, the United States government passed legislation that limited and, at times, restricted the immigration of Asian women (Espiritu, 1997; Takaki, 1993). Espiritu noted that the policies and legislation, such as the Page Law in 1875, were often driven by economics, such as the fact that Asian men without families would offer the least costs to employers and be more transient, thus meeting labor needs. Takaki (1993) remarked that the Page Law was intended to bar Chinese prostitutes but became enforced so broadly that Chinese wives were also kept out of the U.S.
With limited opportunities for Asian men to create families with Asian women, politicians realized that Asian men might want to intermarry with White women, and therefore anti-miscegenation laws were created to revoke citizenship of any White woman who outmarried (Chua & Fujino, 1999; Espiritu, 1997; Takaki, 1990). The establishment of anti-immigration laws and anti-miscegenation laws were institutional forms of oppression faced by Asian men that limited the growth of families (Ancheta, 1998). Along with institutional barriers, cultural forms of oppression soon emerged (Okihiro, 1994).
In order to prevent miscegenation, the intermingling of races, from occurring, popular images of Asian men as sexually deviant, asexual, effeminate, or luring White women to their opium dens were created (J. Chan, 2001; Espiritu, 1997). The image of Asian Americans as exotic and foreign was further promoted by the growing popularity of mysticism in the early 1900s with the influx of South Asians looking to profit from offering “Eastern wisdom” to the Hollywood elite (Prashad, 2000). To further emasculate Asian men, employment opportunities were also limited in scope, consisting primarily of “feminine” work such as laundry, housekeeping, and cooking, which translated into restaurant work (Takaki, 1993). Racist images collapsed gender and sexuality so that Asian American men appeared to be both hypermasculine and effeminate.
You think that racism , opression of Asian Americans only started from the war? Think AGAIN. It's been here since our forefathers immigrated here on these shores. Three pillars of oppression have been used against us : Constitutional, Cultural , and Economical.
African americans didn't get to where they are today without lots of fighting. Where are asian americans today ? In a state of shambles. We help everyone us BUT ourselves.

See the thing about what the African American community was fighting for was basic civil rights. And that started 60 years ago. What you're fighting for is better media portrayal of Asians so Asian males have better chance at getting into relationships with western girls. Somethimg that has only really started getting movement in the past decade, it's still in its infancy. See the difference here?
You honestly think portrayal of African Americans is mostly positive?! I beg to differ. You should try looking around the internet as I've found many young black people saying the same thing you are about media portrayal. You don't even have to look for those forums. Although their situation is better it really isn't as good as it should be.
Also I think it's good how passionate you are .But being soo worked up about this problem in light of problems like mass executions in the middle east, water contamination in India, starvation disease and war in Africa, and imminent famine in North Korea, this problem, of having a hard time getting a gf, may seem to pale in comparison and painting it to be such an important and severe problem may hurt the cause in the end. When there is all this crazy messed up stuff going on right now, and you get worked up about media representation hurting our dating chances I think that makes this cause quicker to take the back seat in priorities. If you want more examples closer to home think police brutality, economy, and rigged/corrupt legislation. But the cause isn't helped much by the fact that the U.S is now tied to the hip of China. I think that also adds to the propaganda. lol -.-

You say its bad people don't acknowledge the problem but I think it's more good than bad. At least, if they're Asian American, they most the time understand what is attractive in Western eyes and most likely act accordingly. This probably helps the cause more than it hurts it. This is probably the best way to help until another Bruce Lee or something comes along.
If we all individually put ourselves out there in a positive light, then gradually(painstakingly slow progress) our image will improve over time. Or I guess you can go out there Malcolm x with a fervent passion and rage and tell the world.....well...Asians are having a hard time getting laid xD jokes aside, it's time we discussand implement plan of actions rather than talk about the issue . As I think most Asians are aware of the issue , whether they admit it or not

You may not realize this, quite ironically, is that you are a detriment to the Asian community, not empowering it. You are constantly vocal about the disparity of Asian men, something we all already know. Who is your audience? Asian men on this board, the women who happen to frequent these boards because they like Asian men? We get there is racism in a White man's world, but it has ultimately consumed your life for the worst. As someone who is a strong advocate of the Asian community, it is truly sad to see the Asian men on this board who have fallen through the cracks. The fact that it is so numerous and frequent on this board is staggering.
Let me be clear again, you are doing nothing to help the Asian community. You can read all the academic literature, or write a ten thousand page dissertation on how Asian men were and still are being victimize by society, but guess what? Nobody cares. It's sad, no? It's because it is not actionable. Words without tangible trials are worthless, it doesn't carry any weight in society. Merit and credibility is based on actions. If you want to contribute, then advocate something that provides change, not lecture the people who have never done any crimes towards you. You are on the wrong board for that, women come here because this like Asian guys, why lecture them about your victimhood? Are you tying to draw sympathy, is this why you are so offended when nobody on this board cares except for your sympathizers.
I truly hope you are not like this in real life because on this board you are reinforcing the negative stereotypes we face, not banishing it. Instead of being a +1 to the community and encouraging people to engage with us, you are repelling them. Each time we individually engage others, it opens a window of opportunity to create a new narrative for our image. That is progress, that is change. Why are you so myopic that you can't see what you are doing?

But the issues that AA face affect me as much they do to you.
This is probably the best way to help until another Bruce Lee or something comes along.
So do we just sit here and wait till a fix comes along? I for one , am not content to do that. The black community didn't wait for Jim crow laws to be repealed. They actively rallied and spread their ideology and ideas until the all of the black community were on the same page. Please tell the African community back then that starvation in Africa was more important then the issues they faced. It's all relative. You think all of this is because of not getting laid? In reality , I don't even care. It's all about the cause. With the CHINA VS USA polticial problems, it's only going to get worse. We're going to be the next Japanese internment. But being soo worked up about this problem in light of problems like mass executions in the middle east, water contamination in India, starvation disease and war in Africa, and imminent famine in North Korea, this problem, of having a hard time getting a gf, may seem to pale in comparison and painting it to be such an important and severe problem may hurt the cause in the end.

Words carries ideas, and ideas are more powerful then actions. Ideas can change what people think , and they carry weight in society. No action in society and civilization ever came to fruition without a idea, a spark that started from words. Your telling me that words are worthless? You must be a retard , the COLD war wasn't a war that started because of an ACTION , it was war based on ideas.
The USA was formed on the basis of new ideas wasn't it ?
Are you now going to tell me that the cold war was not a war based on ideas?

Why are you throwing words like "retard" around when he has a perfectly valid point in that regard? The more and more I read your posts the more I realize you may just have a short fuse and are very irritable.
As far as the whole civil rights stuff, like I said, that was for basic civil rights whereas you want Asians just portrayed better. Asians aren't segregated, at least forcefully, we're not getting lynched for speaking out or being threatened with burning crosses. Our churches aren't being bomb. Are we going to have rallies with signs saying "we don't all do kung fu", or "we don't all like math and like to wear right jeans". Do you even know how silly that would look?? Do I really have to hold your hand through the differences of the civil rights movement and this "cause"?
And no I didn't say sit around and do nothing but you coming on here talking and calling people retards doesn't achieve much. I asked you for some solutions and here we are talking about the same thing. Its like if I had to solve a math problem and just talked about how the equation is set up, and all the different ways I could rearrange it but never actually solve it. And no, no rallies because that would bury your cause into the dirt. Like I said , it would look silly. You need to take action and draw up (other) solutions to make this a reality or they will stay exactly that, an idea.
