Recently came across a groundbreaking book, which has been one of the bestselling books this year. It's a must read for not only introverts but also extroverts, both groups of who need a better understanding of introversion in a world where introversion is looked down upon.

Why Life Speeds Up As You Get Older by Douwe Draaisma
www.amazon.com/Why-L..._pr_product_top

Interesting book about autobiographical memories... (deja vu, near-death experiences, reminiscences, etc.) As dry as the topics could be, the book is very elegantly written, with pieces of philosophy, literature, and art well-mixed with psychological research.

The Lucifer Effect by Philip Zimbardo

I dunno if you study Psychology or Philosophy or both or neither but that book is about the prison experiment that Zimbardo was in charge of conducting so if never heard of it maybe you can look it up and read about it first. I never get the chance to read the book tho, it didnt come out yet when I was studying/taking psy/phi
p/s- you can always ask the expert here on tis site who Lucifer is, but beware he might giv you like a two hr lecture j/k...

and I dunno what kind of psychology/philosophy you like, classic? guess you can always go with the author

Euthyphro by Plato

is an interesting/funny one, you hav to think a lot :woohoo: or read carefully or its just me my English is poor. I read this one sentence 20x and still confused! "...But, friend Euthyphro, if that which is holy is the same with that which is dear to God, and is loved because it is holy, then that which is dear to God would have been loved as being dear to God; but if that which dear to God is dear to him because loved by him, then that which is holy would have been holy because loved by him.

The Will to Meaning: Foundations and Applications of Logotherapy by Viktor Frankl
www.amazon.com/The-W...s/dp/0452010349

It is a renowned classic, and by far one of the greatest psychology books I've ever read. So much existential insight abounds in this little book. It is a must-read for psychology students especially, despite having been written three decades ago.

Thanks for sharing, zxynn. It's interesting to see some newer (non-textbook) examples on the subject.
