LET'S TALK ABOUT METAL

11 years ago from today, Jon Nödtveidt the Swedish black metal band Dissection's vocalist and guitarist took his own life. Here's my tribute to him.

On the ground lies an angel with skin so pale

Snow is now falling to the frozen ground
The angel is covered by white
Frost is spreading across the plain to welcome the eternal night

Just found these guys from Japan. Not sure if they are still active as a band though.

Saw them live in Los Angeles the other month. They were sooooo awesome.

Recently been listening a lot to these guys from Brazil too.

One of my favorite subgenres, melodic death metal, and one of my favorites bands that I will see in November.

Not only is Takao an awesome song, but HOW CAN U NOT love the sight of Freddy playing erhu while the wind caresses his flowing locks!

Personally I very much prefer the Taiwanese version of Takao, over the English one.

I also like the Taiwanese version better too! I actually like 3 versions of this song including the acoustic and this poppin club remix they did.
