When people talk about classical music, they(and this also includes those who are classical music enthusiasts as well) often starts with Baroque music, and often exclude Renaissance era and often overlooked such an interesting music of that era. I developed greater fascination toward Renaissance music when I was studying classical guitar.

And one of probably well-known Renaissance composer and lutenist is John Dowland. Here is classical guitarist Julian Bream, playing Dowland's piece with a lute.

Another Renaissance composition(and a composer) that I actually discovered this year is Pierre Attaingnant. And this is his composition.

The Violin Concerto in A minor (BWV 1041), one of Bach's numerous masterpieces

There is also a separate arrangement of this composition for the keyboard (BWV 1058), which was transposed by Bach to a lower tone corresponding to the key of G minor.
