I think breaks have always been my favorite.

I'm a huge fan of these guys:

Last time I saw them the Detroit PD shut the entire thing down only about 15 mins into the set. The irony here is that there was a triple homicide a couple blocks away that got no attention. I love this city.

I'm jaded (read: old) and have a hard time calling it EDM. Used to be a dnb/jungle head and preferred dancing to breaks or progressive house. Now that my coordination is nowhere to be found, I mostly listen to ambient, atmospheric, lyrical downtempo, and the like.

I quite like Tiesto and his sets, and there are weekly sets of his uploaded onto Youtube. That way it's gotten me familiar with a lot of the other EDM artists that he is playing.

Honestly, I just listen to the music I like and don't really try to classify it a lot. But I do know I like EDM and I really like it when artists remix popular songs. I saw DJ Hodor when he came to Minneapolis (the actor who plays Hodor in GOT) and it was great but also the worst concert I went to because of the crowd.

But I honestly loved going to The Glitch Mob concert:

I just really can't stand that whirring noise that is in a lot of DeadMau5's stuff. Blegh.

The song was interesting -but the video with that song is amazing!
