"Love isn't a state of perfect caring. It is an active noun like struggle. To love someone is to strive to accept that person exactly the way he or she is, right here and now."

"We need to help people to discover the true meaning of love. Love is generally confused with dependence. Those of us who have grown in true love know that we can love only in proportion to our capacity for independence."

Mister Rogers is the shit. Lol
I didn't really ever get into Barney or Sesame Street much but I woke up in time for Mister Rogers watering his plants.

I know probably a couple people here have read The Alchemist because it's such a popular book but I keep debating whether or not to pick it up. I here great quotes from it but the initial story line doesn't intrigue me. Thoughts? Opinions?

I'm currently reading How to be a Brit by George Mikes. Note, I'm not learning how to be a Brit, pretty sure I have that down. This book is pretty funny, and so many things are extremely true.

I have read "The Alchemist" by H.P. Lovecraft. ;)
I'm pretty sure that's not what you're talking about though.

Oh God, there's 2. I thought I was referring to the one by Paulo Coelho but maybe I'm wrong. I just hear it quoted a lot and people saying it's a fantastic book...

Well, how was the Alchemist by H.P. Lovecraft?

It's an awful short story. Probably his worst. He wrote it when he was a teenager so it lacks the refinement of his later, more popular works. I doubt anyone is quoting this story haha.
