I dislike horror movies they are too scary, but at times I would like to watch one as long as I am not watching it at night alone, in day time alone is alright.

Movies that I think are scary for me are "The Descent" 2005, about girls in a cave and "Shutter Island" (2010). Japanese movies are scarier. I seen like Scream, Final destination they are funny not scary, and like Wrong turn, Saw (this movie makes me sick) and etc. What do you guys think?

Thai horror films are the best. Other than that, The Shining is a classic and Insidious is pretty good.

Asian horror movies MESS WITH YOUR HEAD. Some blood is used but it's not overly graphic, as well as any guts used.

Thats true, asian horror movies don't really use the same pop-up scare tactics as most american horror films do. They tend to rely more on creepy atmosphere than anything else. But you guys love being scared outta your wits? I enjoyed The Ring more than Ringu, to be honest. It's also romantic if you have a partner next to you. :)

Same here, I only watch horror movies when I'm with a friend or someone, otherwise I'll have nightmares for the rest of the night. Shutter Island is more of a thriller, wasn't it? I heard The Descent really got to the nerves of claustrophobics.

And for those who watched Final Destination 3, you might understand why my friend has a fear of tanning booths :P .

I also didn't really watch the Omen or Ghost Train, but I might check it out on Netflix.

I love watching horror movies :cheer: , but I like Asian horrors more than those Hollywood horror movies. I think it's because Hollywood horror movies became so predictable ... a group of people + 1 killer + scary scene and at the end always the same old boring story. 1 person "survives" and tries to kill the killer but it doesn't always go that way. Asian horror movies offer more variation in storylines than the Hollywood horrors. I have bought a lot of Asian horrors such as Death Bell (Korean horror), Memento Mori, The Red Shoes, ...

I think it's much more fun to watch horror movies with friends than alone ^^

Yes, please!~ I love horror movies, though I haven't watched any really scary ones in awhile. :( I don't know if it's considered horror, but Suicide Circle was a good one.

One of the best horror flicks I have seen is "I Saw the Devil" with Lee Byung Hun. AWESOME revenge movie! I would not recommend watching this however, if you do not like intense violence, or are weak in general lol.
