i dont always start a new topic but when i do its something interesting. ;)

so. id like to know which one of the following three australian cities you can recommend and why.

Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane.

i wanna do an internship in australia (for many reasons) and thats why id like to ask locals about it.

out of the above mentioned cities i personally prefer to go to melbourne.

any productive, creative, helpful answer is much appreciated. :)

mornings are for coffee and contemplation.

Melbourne is the best for young creative ppl who like to go out. but its always COLD. (some may object)

Sydney is good for working and being social and sight seeing. Has only 2 seasons HOT and COLD.

Brisbane is good for going to the beach. not much else to do there though. mostly Warm all the way through the year.

thanks, thats a lovely overview! :)

young creative ppl who like to go out. sounds like me :) my clothes dont fit the season, im cold and thats the reason. so i can deal with that haha no seriously, cold as in how many degrees?

dont care much about sight seeing tbh. if i wanna see sights, i can always visit sydney, right.

beach is good, but if theres not much to do, i dont need a beach.

so yeah, from the pics i saw i think melbourne looks a bit like frankfurt, germany with all that skyscrapers. and thats where im from, so it'll be easy to make myself at home i guess ;)

mornings are for coffee and contemplation.

I'm from Melbourne, and I've lived in Sydney before. I think Sydney is a great city to visit as a tourist, but to live, you must live in Melbourne. We have an amazing night life, rich with culture. Tucked behind our little laneways are hidden bars, jazz clubs, and amazing places to eat. We're very bicycle friendly, and if you live in and around the city, alot of the tourists just ride their bicycle. I wont get started on the food, its just kick ass. We have every cuisine available here, from great sushi bars, to some of the best Italian Pizza restaurants.

Also....I'm here...I'll be happy to be your tour guide :P

Not sure about hot asian guys, but Melbourne is practically Asia nowadays. So yeah. :P
Melbourne's great if you love sports! ;) Not so much if you hate shit weather. Rain, hail, thunder, sunshine all in the one day. Actually all at the one time even! :D

You should move to Tasmania. Shit load of people there.......
