Bullshit. You're having Bill Gates syndrome. While there are people that made it big without education by having the right idea at the right time on technological break through (PC, internet, then mobile), I can assure you majority of the CEO's of fortune 500 companies have at least 4 years degree if not MBA from Ivy League schools. For every drop out CEO you have at least 10,000 drop outs making minimum wage.

Without education, we'll just get more and more of this shit that makes you want to press that nuke button.

Look at it this way, education is very valuable to those who want to revolve their life to research and academia. If you just want a job then get training instead on a specific vocation. For the creative types, there is art school if you can afford it or there are cheaper alternatives to art school. Find a day job while doing what you're passionate about on the side, but remember that your passion starts out as a hobby.

I think the education reform requires some test assessment to classify those who are better suited to academia and for those who just want to pick up a trade or skill. For the rest, just gain some valuable work experience and figure out what you want to do in the long run while working and earning some income.

I don't think anyone has to be educated by a teacher to know what "income taxes" are...or even what a "down payment" is. I am positive that school has taught you how to use a dictionary... If you had common sense and listened in school, you would know that taxes play a fundamental role in a country's economy. Furthermore, how hard is it to calculate taxes? Basic elementary school mathematics. I have 10 apples, but there are only 3 remaining. How many apple did I eat? Oh wait, "x+y=z" is too hard for you. Sorry if I am being harsh, but it's sad seeing someone criticizing a school system, while they lack common sense.

Where do you I even begin? If you're interested in being red pilled (awakening) i can write a wall of text or blog about it on here. I am going to give the short version the income tax in USA was to fund the civil war. Lincoln created the IRS, to collect taxes for the civil war. For many years the USA started wars they shouldn't have for profit and plant central banks into countries so they can take over it. I know it's conspiracy theory blah blah but you do your own research you should come to the same conclusion.
The school system is dumbing down students. Let students pass while really failing in courses. Have you recently heard of the Critical race theory? Talking about brain washing. That is the short version!

If people are so educated why are people wearing masks when there are several studies before covid proved mask do not work to stop infections? Why do people believe viruses and bacteria cause disease? Did you know low grade chronic stress, diet and life style can cause disease? Yet we use prescription medication that doesn't solve the health problems we have these days. The book why Zebras Do not get ulcers proves the covid 19 is fake.
I am a byproduct of poor education system. My grammar sucks big time, yet my English teachers gave me passing grades every single year. I was 3 years ahead in math when I was in grade 6 I could do grade 9 math only because my parents made me learn from this books they bought me.

I think a basic education is important. Education in general is a cumulative process. As a result, very young children are usually a lot dumber than older people. Another problem with most young people is, they have no friggin discipline and their impulse control is terrible. I wouldn't trust my 3 or 4 year old self to pick up a book and start attempting to decipher the words out of thin air, let alone read an entire paperback from front to back to practice. Also with numeracy, basic maths is incredibly important to get the idea of quantifying objects and cost, which leads on to being financially literate in later life.

I think where most argument arises is when discussing curriculum for teenagers who have already undergone the basic reading, writing and maths education. But then again, if teenagers were just left to their own devices, raging hormones would ensure very little gets done, and minds would regress to nothing beyond their genitals. I think by that point, school is less of an academic teaching experience and more of a social teaching experience to learn the ways of love and life and generally getting on with other human beings. Some kids will inevitably be more talented than others and question a slow or narrow curriculum not tailored to them. That's fine, but it must be understood that a secondary school teacher's primary goal is crowd control, followed by making sure their class is not underachieving (to secure school funding at management or governmental level), and not so much to turn every individual into the next Einstein. Tailored programmes cost money which many schools don't have. Imagine having to teach each of 40 kids in a classroom exactly what they want for their career. You would need 40 dedicated teachers for that. Half the time kids ain't got a clue what they want to do by then anyways, beyond becoming a pro footballer, drug dealer, instagram influencer or winning the lottery.

If people want to be remarkable, they have to work to do more than what everyone else is doing, which extends beyond the vanilla school/college education system. But it's up to the individual to carve their own path, and learn whatever is required in their own time to realise their own picture of success and career satisfaction.
