And I know what I 'm talking about. My close family never urged me or even helped me in learning Mandarin Chinese & writing Chinese. I decided by myself to learn it at school. And I would always blame them for that. Chinese is also another lifetime learning language.
English is indeed the de facto travel language, as of now. But any other language is worth learning, especially if you have to travel to that specific country.
OK, now I need two lives. One to finish learning Chinese & another for Czech.

I'm half czech. I Come here because of family. I have learned a bit, but not enough to get me around. Everyone also tells me not to learn it. It's like playing the violin. It takes a life time to get good and most czech says it's So hard to learn, that most czech cant speak czech. So dont give me that bs crap about people not needing it. Norwegians have Norwegian as primary language. We still learn english, So we can communicate with all u suckers out there x)

Maybe he's in on the take?
Czech doesn't seem to have many language apps for it, as well as other former Eastern Bloc countries. Google translate is the best option? But it always need internet connection.

Paris and London I can understand, but what's the tourist trap for Norway and Sweden?

If I may ask, what exactly are you calling a 3rd world culture in Prague?
Mostly based on my experiences in China and SE Asia: you can also checkout YouTube for the tourist scams and ripoffs...
Basically, no strong legal system and social order and people trying to get one up on your however they can: counterfeit change in China and SE Asia are common against tourists, and making wrong change "by mistake" is also common if they see/smell you as a tourist.
Even locals face these 3rd world culture antics and arguments are common over money.

Are there any good language apps that help with translation without it spying on you?

In the video below, the fake mute girl was certainly "operating" in Paris. She 's even speaking French to Janek (the bearded guy with glasses), calling him a rapist while she's the crook.

I guess, in every big city in the world, there will be crooks & scammers targetting tourists. Sadly.
@ Psy6:
Lots of southern Chinese guys in Hey-Ai will be glad to help you, I'm sure.

Yes, because my rep here on hey-ai, is awesome, I am sureJunJun.fr wrote: I see... Well, many other countries would fit in the tag "Third world culture", then. I can only speak from what I know: even in Paris, there will be scammers, pickpockets & even perverts trying to grab their hands on any victims they can. Actually some of the scammers in Prague & Paris are the same ones, trying the same tricks on unaware people.

Never been to Paris, but have heard of Paris Syndrome...
Japanese seem to be especially afflicted, but that's because sh!t like that almost never happens in Japan. There are crimes and scams and thieves everywhere, but when you compare the percentages and the amount of law enforcement there are countries/cultures where it's rare.
