What you may have experienced with us to be endearing in the past is becoming harder to find, we understand. While this may be a bittersweet moment for people who feel this way, just know that there's still a long way to go for all groups of minorities or oppressed groups, and that selfless support is much appreciated.

While I personally did not laugh while reading your post, I'm sure others appreciated its humour. I was educated in a very liberal environment and was discouraged to support jokes that perpetuated harmful stereotypes, especially directed at groups of people, and involved individuals you personally may not know. Although it was quite clear that you were only joking, at a much needed time when the world is literally falling apart, please be considerate of the repercussions of misdirected humour.
