I am not vegan or vegitarian, but i do try to do things in moderation..I do not see the deaths of the animals and so therefore, i can say it is a little easier to be open to eating them..

I do see it as the circle of life..There are things that die and get eaten and it comes down to preference for me, not really taste..I do eat eggs, honey and drink milk, even though it can be depressing as to how it is made and processed..It is sadly the reality we cannot save every creature on this planet from harm.Just like we cannot prevent other humans from killing each other..

I eat mostly grains and veggies and fruits, but i do have meat a few times a month..I eat fish and other things..As it has already died for consumption, I do not like to waste food..So if someone else happens to love eating meat, and offers me some, I do not have a problem as that other has already bought it, as for the killing of animals in general? I did not personally kill it.

.I did not have the consequence of seeing it suffer and die in my hands..So..like i said..The connection, the knowing and the way it is done, even with strict laws and regulations, will not end the fact they do get slaughtered..But to protest entirely and to just let the animal rot and not be eaten, is for me a waste..That animal already suffered to make others happy..It is a sacrifice, even if not willingly..

I dont wish to see any animals suffer or be killed..I was a vegan when i was a kid..My kids are similar..But even for vegans, mice are killed for grains and corn and insects..Regardless if your vegan, vegitarian or a meat eater, you cannot prevent something having died for you to get that grain or corn or soymilk or whichever..Machines that plow those fields probably kill lots of creatures, not just mice, but snakes, spiders, and other creatures that have a job on this planet..

I do eat meat maybe once every few weeks..Do i feel guilty about it? No, because i know other animals and creatures die just as much for vegans and vegitarians..We cant save every creature..But we can try and be mindful and do things in moderation..Life is a cycle..Everything lives and dies for something else..Whether willingly or not..Deserving or not..I do not let my compassion for animals though, stop me from eating food that i know other people are starving and dying to have..To throw it away i dont feel is right either.

To each their own..I am not dissing anyone who eats meat or animal products..This is just my own personal view..I try to eat a good healthy and balanced diet..Not just meats and animal products and not just all grains, fruits and veggies..I eat to live, not live to eat..

Also unless you pick your own food fresh? There is no guarentee that all the machines and farms producing the food but using harvest machines, havent killed something so you can eat..I grow a lot of my own foods..Which is less contribution to the big companies using machines..Less carbon footprint

We may not be able to save every animal from harm but we can definitely reduce the amount of suffering.
Yes small animals and insects are killed when crops are harvested but again it's about the intention and reducing the amount of animals being slaughtered.

As for worrying about food waste and people starving take into account that most crops grown are actually used to feed livestock, if we didnt have as much livestock to feed then we could use the food from those crops to feed those that are currently going without. Obviously this isn't something we can change overnight but we can start making changes now and overtime if more people go vegan then gradually there will be less demand for meat products and in turn less livestock will be bred so we'll be able to use crops and the space we use for livestock to grow even more food for the majority of the population. On top of that animals will be able to go back to living the way they did before we intervened and started genetically modifying them.

Thanks for your input, you brought up some interesting points

the only “truth” i read from what you said is that youre just extremely ignorant. i will explain to you why later. in the meanwhile, why dont you go ahead and answer OPs questions as well instead of beating around the bush with your long post.

Well i guess you pick and grow your own food than..Instead of buying from stores..Thats the only real way to end the slaughter of animals is to not contribute to the places selling products that are being sold like that .Your entitled to your views and opinions..It does not make me a murderer though. Also im not ignorant..I just dont feel its worth the time and energy, stressing over every little thing that happens with every animal and every human on this planet..I do not feel the need to control everyone either or impose my way of living on them..You dont like eating animal products? Thats your personal choice..Not everyone has to agree with you or do exactly as you do..The world does not work like that..Otherwise it would be a perfect world with no suffering. Thats not reality though and it is not a one size fits all with problems and solutions..Lashing out at meat eaters or people who eat animals wont solve anything either..

As for animal testing and inhumane practices, everything that you do not personally make yourself or grow or produce yourself, is most likely being done in an unethical way, whether its clothing from sweatshops where kids make your expensive clothes maybe for a few pennies or whichever..There are a lot of problems in the world and just because people do not have the same thoughts and thinking as you does not make them better or worse..I do other things to contribute to humanity and animals .You want to go save livestock? Than go do it..Not everyone has the same skills or abilities and beliefs..The fact you cant control everyone and everything, is already something..Whether you want to blow up and get angry at everyone else for not feeling the same way you do? That is your own responsibility to handle those feelings..There are no guarentees in life..With humans or animals..Complaining about it though is not going to help solve the issue if its just arguing with people online ..So than become a nature activist in real life and go sign petitions for better animal rights..Duking it out on the net and trying to convince people otherwise, does not help much..I am mindful and just because i eat meat here or there does not make me a bad person..If you think so? Than i find that ignorant as well..Judging people just based on what they eat instead of how they live..Not respecting or accepting people as they are and only sticking to a small group, instead of trying to understand others and be nice and respectful about others not being like you, is not going to bring a solution..
