When I was in Salzburg, Austria, some of these guys noticed I was trying to speak German and were amused.
Hopefully people will be more friendly to Zuagroaste when they are drunk at Oktoberfest.

Haha, thank you for sharing that observation. People from Köln/Bonn are quite open and friendly. Damn, I miss it.

Germans are friendly dude in sharp contrast with the usual stereotype placed on them by other countries. I love Germany, was my home for 12 years or so. I take it upon myself to actually learn the language one of these days. It was a very hospitable place to live. Everyone's friendly. And yeah of course there are hot German chicks, that's to be expected. They've really bounced back with their economy. As far as contributions to art and knowledge they've made theirs. I miss that country. No. 1 thing I miss the most is driving there, not just the Autobahn, but the drivers are more skilled and are more cautious and smart. Again, in sharp contrast with other countries (especially USA). That's because German driving school costs $2K Euro and goes on for about a year (called Fahrshule) and to pass you have to be very good at driving. In many ways Germany is far more advanced than USA, but USA is of course a much much bigger country and is thus more difficult to control.

Agree

German people's facial feature is very unique, they normally have higher cheekbones, than other europeans, and north americans (no offense, most north american i saw had flatter faces, like asians) expecially germanguys, somegerman gals do too, physically I think German are taller and well build than most europeans except skinny duches and russians, B)

People are very polite but they are very reserved. It's almost impossible for foreigners like me to blend in and mingle. A lot of people here have known each other for a long time and rarely let outsiders join their social circle. Also people here date for a long time before getting married and they like to meet their significant others through work and school. There is a lot of gorgeous women here but I think most are only open to white German guys. Sorry to bust your bubble but there are better places than Germany to meet girls if you are into that.

Welll.... I'll have to make some comments to your thoughts about germany ^^

- From my experiences half of the people I've met in germany didn't speak english that well. Which makes it hard to socialize in case you don't speak german yourself. They do speak english, but not good enough to have long conversations, but enough if you need help with something (obviously the people from germany on hey ai speak english very well)

- People are always reserved. In what country do you find people who offers strangers to hang out with their friends etc. Never happened to me and I've been in a whole lotta countries.

- People in all western countries date a long time before they marry. It's not China.

- I got the feeling that german girls digs asian guys. The Asian guys I know in germany are always swimming around in girls.. But that might have something to do with their awesome outgoing personalities rather than ethnicity. yeah actually im pretty sure that's the case..

NB. Germany is the country of cheap candy and alcohol <3 <3 <3 <3
