I don't have a problem with the video or the song, itself. I am just so annoyed of how overplayed it is.

Sure it was funny the first time.

The second.

But around the third time it started breeding violent feelings.

Now. The song takes me to dark places.

LOL true, however, even Dave Chappelle at one point stopped his show because he soon realized people weren't laughing with him...but they were laughing at him.

True, but the point I'm making is that asians in the U.S. are still marginalized even though many are highly educated and work very hard, and majority of the entertainment industry in the U.S. won't even allow asians to be asians in films, like I posted about Cloud Atlas casting controversy. What Americans do see though are negative images the most...there should be both positives and negatives and it's unfortunate PSY's video (even though it was unintentional) most non asians will have a negative image in their heads about asians particularly asian men. Even Jackie Chan has tried to break the stereotypes and has been very vocal about it.

I know alot azn Americans that are lazy, stupid and annoying. There r two sides to each racial/ethnic coin(s). I applaud yr Asian pride and you left wing sense of justice. I've been alive a little longer than most here, and I can def say that thin gs have gotten better and will continue to.
I don't know much about psy, but he and Jackie c are comedians. Asians are laughing at their brand of comedy probably for the same reasons.
that nonasians are.

Thanks man, I understand we need laughter, it's healthy to laugh, I love comedies the most actually, but it would be nice to see something that's more than just a stereotype. I even liked one film Ken Jeong was in "Knocked up," and I liked the fact his role wasn't so over the top, making a fool of himself like his other films. You're absolutely right, there will come a time when we don't have to judge someone because of the usual negative perception.

Psy said that Gangnam Style wasn't made for an international audience. He was really surprised how viral it went.

Gangnam Style is just humor. He even said, "Dress classy but dance cheesy."

Take it for what it is. A humorous song/music video that went really viral and soon got overplayed.

I completely agree it was overplayed! And though it was ok and entertaining the first time watching it i think its time for it to dye down now!!
