I am currently reading A Song of Ice and Fire, a series by George R. R. Martin.
For me... best epic fantasy after The Lord of The Rings ;)

I love books with many pages! ^^
At least 300+ pages and a very small print of the letters. :pinch:

I'm a bookworm myself! So don't be scared

To start, my favorite author's Stephen King. Even though I've read most of his books and recommend them all, I have to say that what I loved the most were The Shining, Bag of Bones, The Green Mile, Under the Dome, Christine,The Stand and The Long Walk (last one written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman). I'll never grow tired of this man's books and short stories!!!!

Moving away from horror, my second favorite has to be Frank Herbert. Anyone having read the Dune series will admit (I think) that the concepts (the mentats, the Bene Gesserit and their muscle control, well just about everything) he envisioned and the philosophical dialogue (like the Litany Against Fear) are mind-blowing. Anyway, sorry for the rant on that. I couldn't help myself.

But I've read about everything so far. From the Russians (which are not to my taste) to Sandra Brown :silly: , and going trough various genres. I like British literature now, an example could be The Magus by John Fowles - but I shouldn't forget my childhood "friend" Charles Dickens

And OH! Now I remember the first book which got me into Asian culture: Shogun, by James Clavell.

:)

haha yeah i really did finish the book:P , hm maybe you aren't easily surprised haha but i think there will be some intense moments later on in the books that might not surprise you but will evoke some strong emotions haha although i'm not spoiling anything, just read! if you liked the first book then you will like the rest of the series. and yes i can't wait for the next book there are so many things let to be explained and the fate of certain characters that need to be confirmed sigh looks like another 10 year wait if GRRM keeps going at his writing pace. i will be 50 with kids who have kids of their own before i'm done this series :P

I love books :3. I have so many, my mum actually has them in alphabetical order on the shelves so we can find them. I'm reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown at the moment. It's... interesting.
I'm also working through Saiyuki and Kuroshitsuji - both are good.
